The decision to be a freelance graphic artist may not exactly be easy. For me, it took about a year to embrace the idea. I’ve been in the design industry for about 7 years now so I considered the long term factors – how I’d cope with not having a ‘regular’ salary, client base, work structure, building a career and other benefits that come with a nine to five job.
