I’m no ‘expert’ on digital marketing, however I have acquired some skills in the social media marketing by practicing, reading, trial and errors and actually handling a few projects. In my opinion, Facebook is better. Why? Well, results are immediate. All you need to know is how to target your potential audience, use proper images, call to action and write engaging posts and set your budget. Once these are all done, you’d see results.
Now with SEO, by the way SEO means Search engine optimization – a methodology of strategies, techniques and tactics used to boost the amount of visitors to a website by obtaining a high-ranking placement in the search results page of a search engine (SERP) – including Google, Bing, Yahoo and other search engines.
Let’s use google as the case study, I have used and applied google SEO tools to increase my website presence/page views but the results were not encouraging especially as I really couldn’t see results instantly, in the long term I did but there were results I’d get within hours using Facebook as a marketing tool. Don’t get me wrong, you still need SEO but Facebook should be explored as well, the potential reach for your marketing campaign is underestimated.
Here’s an infographic below that explains better.
